What are the advantages of CME Trays?
CME Composite Trays are high strength and are compatible with major mogul manufactures NID, Makat, Fasttrack, Winkler & Dunnebier and other mogul manufacturers.
With a long service life of up to 20+ years, CME Trays provide a significant cost saving over whole of life, without the high cost of repairs and continual replacement costs associated with wood trays.
1. High Strength:
Customers have reported that 80% of complaints they receive are due to wooden matter in the end product. Converting to CME Trays eliminates this quality problem. CME has developed the material used to manufacture our trays, this is a high strength food grade material developed especially to withstand rigorous manufacturing conditions.
To gain further strength, CME designs the underside rib structure on the bottom of the tray, specifically to provide extra strength and also suit your mogul design. This underside rib feature is not achievable using wood trays, and gives customers confidence in the strength of CME Trays.
2. Production efficiencies:
CME Trays are a key element in providing efficient manufacturing and high profits for confectionery manufacturers.
This is due to:
- High tray quality and dimensional stability
- More efficient production
- Improved product quality
Our trays have increased production from 4% to 7% per day, in comparison to the other mogul machines running with a wooden tray. A customer report quotes approximately than 0.015% CME Tray breakages compared to the 5% typical with wood trays. CME Trays are extremely tough and do not have the high cost of repairs and continual replacement costs associated with wood trays.
The initial cost of CME Trays compared to wood trays is more expensive, however CME estimate over the whole of life a cost saving of over 53%. CME have a wide range of standard starch trays available, and can custom build new trays to suit any requirement.
3. Strong
CME has developed the material used to manufacture our trays, this is a high strength food grade material developed especially to withstand rigorous manufacturing conditions. To gain further strength, CME designs the underside rib structure on the bottom of the tray, specifically to provide extra strength. This feature is not achievable using wood trays, and gives customers confidence in the strength of CME Trays.
4. Dimensionally Stable
CME Trays are moulded in one piece, ensuring that each tray is exactly the same in dimension. The consistent dimensions of CME Trays enable the mogul machines to run at their full potential, with minimal tray jams. This improves efficiencies for the confectionery manufacturers, and increases daily production with less downtime due to tray jams.
CME Trays are dimensionally stability and not affected by heat and humidity. Wood trays absorb moisture and can vary in size between batches. The dimensional stability of CME Trays means there is less chance of tray jams, which improves mogul efficiencies. Tighter dimensional tolerances, along with the 4 way interlocking feet on CME Trays, provide extremely stable tray stacks and drying rooms filled to capacity.
5. Temperature Tolerant
CME Trays are dimensionally stable, and not affected by temperatures ranging from (-50⁰C to 160⁰C).
